Blatten, one year after the devastating landslide that buried large parts of the village. Triggered by instability in the mountain above and linked to the thawing of Alpine permafrost, millions of cubic metres of rock and debris crashed into the valley. A year later, the consequences are still being felt by former residents and the wider region.
